Finding your reserved private boat tour is simple and our large pontoon boat is easy to spot. We will give you detailed directions when you book.
All trips are private boat tours that include a captain. Adventures last from 2- 4 hours, depending on the particular trip and the time of year. There is nothing quite like our Shell Island Dolphin Tours and Sunset Dolphin Cruises. Multiple group boat tours are offered daily. Call us directly for combining multiple tour times and reserving the vessel even longer.
The Anne Anne can comfortably seat 16 passengers but has a larger capacity - call for larger groups.
You are reserving a private dolphin tour, so no other families will be on your tour.
Arrive 15 minutes before departure time. Call or text us if you are going to be late. Late departure will result in our trip time being reduced but we will wait on you if you are running late.
Yes. Have fun but be responsible about it and keep in mind that the sun does increase the effects of alcohol on the body. Further, dehydration occurs faster when alcohol and sunset are mixed.
Yes. Shell Island is great place to picnic! We are also happy to stop somewhere like Uncle Ernie’s for tasty take-out food.
Pretty much whatever you like to eat and drink. Towel, sunglasses, sunscreen, cooler, ice, phone and your personal snorkel gear. You can bring your Bluetooth speaker and playlist if you like.
USCG Master Captain, life jackets, radio, snorkel mask.
Yes, the Addy Anne does feature some shaded areas.
Bring it if you have it. We can provide a mask if needed.
Flip Flops work just fine, or you can go ala natural.
All passengers must be accounted for on the waivers, however, there is no charge for infant children under 13 months old. You can bring young children but all children under the age of 6 must wear a USCG life jacket while on board. If you have a life jacket your children are accustomed to wearing, you can bring that. If it is USCG accepted, it can be used. We do have infant jackets.
Yes, there is a marine toilet on board for emergencies. There are great facilities right at our slip including a shower for refreshing after the saltwater.
Some folks bring their dog if it’s an animal comfortable with being on the water. Larger dogs (over 20 lbs.) will have to stay off the cushions and you are responsible for any messes they might make so if you bring an animal be prepared for them to throw up or worse while on board if they are not used to the water.
No but we can take you to snorkel the jetties.
There are no open flames allowed on board, however, you may vape. You can smoke at Shell Island and the dock.
In Florida, it rains often. Typically, it only rains for short spells so your Captain will decide whether to try to ride out the storm or go back to the dock. Sometimes we go to dock until after the storm passes and then leave again. If there is no lightning, we usually ride it out for the (typical) 10-15 minutes it takes to pass. Safety is our primary and secondary concerns so the Captain will always error to the side of caution.
Yes but we don’t have handicapped access, facilities or seating. If you can get on board with the assistance of your party, you are welcome. The Addy Anne is a very easy vessel to get on and off because she is a large flat pontoon, not a V hull.
We will have a lot of interaction with the dolphins. It is one of the most awesome parts of the day! If you have not seen these animals in the wild, you will be amazed and you will be very close to them. It is a federal offense to feed and even touch the dolphin, however. The Addy Anne is so close to the water that you will be close enough to touch them, but it is prohibited. There are occasions when it may be possible to be in the water with dolphin, but your captain will have complete control and discretion about this.

You must cancel or reschedule before 72 hours of your tour. There is a $25 cancellation charge. Full fare is forfeited within the 72 hours. If a trip is rained out, we will reach out to you as soon as possible and your trip will be rescheduled or delayed. Unless you hear from us, assume your trip is being organized. The Captain makes these calls based on weather conditions which change from minute to minute so a cancel may happen at the very last moment after a delay. If your trip is rained out before the midway point of your trip, we will reschedule the remaining time asap at your convenience. There is no refund in that situation. If the weather conditions call for official marine wind or sea warnings, then a rescheduling or refund at your convenience.
